The text is framed by a stylized arch which is decorated with geometric forms and flowers. At the top of the document is a quotation from Proverbs 18:22 "He who has found a wife, has found goodness and will find favor with God." This passage appears on ketubot from many diverse Jewish communities. Most of the gold decorating the arch and the inscription has flaked off. The text is written in a Sephardic cursive hand and as is commonly found in Sephardic ketubot. The scribe did not use all the space available to him. The ornamented signatures of the four witnesses below the text, also contribute to the ornamentation.
