Kashan, Iran, 1874Bride: Berurya bat Avraham Below the traditional Aramaic text is an additional paragraph in Hebrew with regard to a home given to the bride. The text is surrounded by a border in the shape of a scalloped arch and two cartouches on the bottom. Above the text are the traditional lions with the rising sun in the background (the national symbols of Iran) and above the lions are images of two peacocks. The text is written is semi-cursive with the names of the bride and groom and other key words written in enlarged bold block letters. |
